Delson Ferreira, known as Delson (born 26 July 1980 in Uberaba, Minas Gerais), is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Associação Naval 1º de Maio in the Portuguese second division.

A defensive midfielder, he also holds a Portuguese passport.

Football career

Delson began playing in Brazil with Grêmio Esportivo Inhumense, moving to Portugal in 2001 to represent S.C. Salgueiros (by then in the top level). He made his debut in the competition on September 16, 2001, playing 90 minutes in a 1–0 home win against S.C. Braga.

As the team from Paranhos folded after the 2003–04 season, Delson joined Rio Ave FC, where he became an instant first-choice. After relegation in 2005–06, he contributed with 24 games and two goals to the side's return to the first division two seasons after.

In late June 2009, Delson moved to Greece's Larissa FC.[1] In January 2010, he briefly returned to Portugal, helping lowly S.C. Olhanense retain its topflight status, and moving to the Algarve side permanently at the season's end.
